The Denim Rodeo Series grew out of my fascination with the culture, traditions, and enduring spirit of the modern West. While each painting focuses on a specific moment, my goal was never simply to document rodeo events. Instead, I wanted to explore the determination, resilience, and connection between people, animals, and the landscapes that continue to shape this way of life.

Denim became a recurring element throughout the collection because it felt symbolic of the values I was drawn to. It represents hard work, perseverance, and a sense of identity that transcends generations. Through these paintings, I hope to capture not only the energy and intensity of rodeo, but also the character and heritage that exist behind the spectacle itself.
